This shawlette was first designed for Sonicknits’ March crochet box, inspired by the AC/DC song ‘Back in Black’ I love a one-skein pattern as I can’t help buying the odd skein of beautiful hand-dyed yarn to add to my stash.

It uses merino singles sock yarn - I dyed a black/grey yarn to match the theme, however I think it will look good in any sock/4-ply weight yarn and is perfect for showing off precious hand-dyed skeins.

Gauge isn’t important, the idea is for it to have an open, lacy texture. The shawlette is made in one piece and is lightweight enough to keep you going through spring and any cooler summer nights, before autumn comes around again!

UPDATE! My blocked shawlette measured 160cm across and 35cm from top edge to the point of the triangle.
