Ninjas…..GO!! This unisex cabled pullover is a wardrobe classic with a twist. A cosy shawl collar, comfy v-neck and full length sleeves all add up to the perfect cool-weather sweater. But throw in some extras and you’ll have a satisfying intermediate knit.

Beautiful cables add visual interest and integrated fingerless mitts mean an end to lost gloves. Your kids will find the mitts perfect for all their ninja training needs!

Ninja Cables is a completely seamless top-down knit. An interesting cable panel is worked around the midriff. Increases for the cable section are included in the chart (and written instructions), so if you’re a beginner, or just want a plain knit, simply omit the cable panel and keep on knitting in stockinette.

The mitts have a ribbed palm for a stretchy fit, and feature an optional small cable detail. Mitts can be slipped off the hand and rolled back onto the sleeve cuff when not in use. Instructions are given for omitting the mitts, if preferred.

Sizing
To fit: 3m (6m, 12m, 18m, 2y // 4y, 6y, 8y, 10y)
To fit chest size: 16” (17, 18”, 19”, 21” // 23” 25”, 26.5”, 28”) with 1.5-2.5” ease at chest
Choose a size that matches the chest of the child rather than their age. Adjust length as needed, using the schematic provided.

Yarn Required
DK weight yarn in the following quantity (given in yards)
500 (520, 540, 570, 650 // 700, 750, 830, 900)
Equivalent to 2 (2, 3, 3, 3 // 3, 3, 4, 4) skeins of either of the stated yarns.

These quantities include a 10% buffer and you may well end up using less. If you’re running out of yarn, then why not knit the collar, mitts or bottom ribbing in a contrast colour?

Note
Due to the cables on this pullover, it is best to choose solid, tonal or lightly heathered yarn for this project. Cables will not show well on dark colours.
