Nisar Radar Model
PATTERN ONLY Nisar Radar Model! This pattern has a TON of pictures and detailed instructions for each step. I have also included a printer-friendly version without color or photos, as well as a bonus Crochet Methods, Techniques & Tips Document.
Up, Up, and Away! This fun piece is inspired by the NASA-ISRO Synthetic Aperture Radar mission, a joint project between NASA and ISRO, which successfully launched in August 2025 and is one of the largest radar imaging satellites and the first to use dual frequencies. As it orbits the earth, it will provide some of the most detailed imaging and precise measurements that we have ever seen of our planet!
This pattern is a mixed-media model using crochet as a focal point to bring this big mission to a tinier, desk-friendly form, perfect for the space or Nasa fan in your life!

The finished product is approximately 8 inches tall, 8 inches deep, and 12 inches wide (from each end of the antennas).
This pattern is completed using the Standard U.S. Crochet Terms and a variety of mixed-media products, including but not limited to: wire, stuffing, rocks, plastic mesh, hot glue, and of course yarn.
PLEASE NOTE: This pattern is available via google links to three separate downloads due to limits on document size per Etsy. You will find a single PDF when you purchase that contains the three links. I have attempted to bring you the best version of my work so you will find: (1) one complete Nisar Radar Pattern with photos; (2) one printer friendly Nisar Radar Pattern in black and white without photos; and (3) a bonus document with tips and instructions for specific Crochet Methods used in the Pattern.
