This pattern is named after a song by the band Mizuna, a very talented duo who happen to be friends of my daughter. From the moment I first heard this song I haven’t been able to get it out of my head. If you want to hear the song for yourself you can listen here (go have a listen, it’s a lovely song).

Due to the nature of the Staghead stitch pattern, this pattern is written for one size only. The pattern as written will fit most adult women. Adjust the gauge to make the mitts larger or smaller.

The cuffs of these mitts are worked in a slipped stitch pattern. Only one color is used per round, so there is no managing two yarns at a time. When working the slipped stitches, be sure to keep the yarn that is carried behind the slipped stitches loose to avoid puckering.

Finished Measurements: 7” (18cm) circumference x 8.5” (21.5) long

Gray & Red Mitts — MC: 1 skein Stone, CC: 1 skein Flame
Gold & Gray Mitts — MC: 1 skein Ochre, CC: 1 skein Ash
