No It's NOT Entrelac Set: Mittens
From the Knit Picks Website:
I came across this beautiful stitch pattern in two places. Nancy Bush calls it “Fishtail” and Aina Praakli calls it spiral ribbing. However, it was shown in darker colors and it wasn’t until I used it in brighter colors that I realized its full beauty.
It does, however, seem to have limited uses. It needs to be knitted in the round for a start. These are two of the ways I liked it best. More to come. Hat and mittens fit an average size head and hands. For a smaller size, use smaller needles. GET USED TO SAYING “NO, IT’S NOT ENTRELAC”.
This is an easy 6 st, 4 row pattern repeat for hat & mittens. However, this pattern swirls to the right. So, no, you are not going crazy! Use inside wool joins to keep track of beginning of round or a marker. All items are knit in the round. Use circ or dpn needles
Needles:
Size 6 (4.0mm): 16” circular
Size 5 (3.75mm) and Size 6 (4mm): DPNs
Pattern includes instructions for coordinating hat:
