Hi there,

These no-thumb mittens are mainly knitted with two strands of yarn held together. The finish size using the suggested yarn would suit most babies’ hands from approximately 6 months on wards. Of course, if you knit with only a single strand and smaller needles, you’d be able to make a pair for a newborn following the same pattern.

The techniques used in the pattern include:
-German twisted cast-on (optional)
-magic loop
-knit & purl
-ssk
-k2tog
-Kitchener stitch
-duplicate stitch

And you’re welcome to drop me a message if you encounter any problem while knitting!
