The Story
Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. I’d love to say it’s because I get to dress up and see other kids having fun but mostly it’s because I love candy. And these wonderful socks make me think of all the candy wrappers I get to dig through on my way to a sugar coma each Halloween.

Notes
This pattern includes directions for socks knit from the top down with a standard short row heel. The left and right socks are identical to each other with the exception of the colorwork pattern for the Front/Instep sts of the sock. The colorwork charts are mirror images of each other.

Instructions for the Left sock are given. When knitting the Right sock, substitute the Right sock chart for all Front/Instep colorwork.

Unless noted otherwise, slip all stitches purlwise.

The pattern is written for the Magic Loop technique, but any circular knitting method can be substituted.

Special Techniques:
Wrap and turn: full instructions are given in pattern on how to construct a short row heel using the wrap and turn technique.
