HOOK
4.5mm crochet hook (or hook size that achieves correct gauge) & a 3.5mm hook (or hook size 1mm smaller than the hook size used to achieve correct gauge).

YARN
Approximately 560 (610, 705, 780, 920) yards of #4 (aran) weight yarn. The sample was made with Briggs & Little Heritage yarn.

GAUGE
12.5 stitches & 11.5 rows per 4” {10cm} in herringbone half double crochet.
