Happy 2021! Nodoso means “knotty” in Italian. :) This wonderfully timeless scarf features “bi-stitchual” cables (half knit stitch/half purl stitch) which makes this beauty reversible! It is worked on size US7 needles and with DK weight yarn. While the pattern is written for DK, there are instructions for fingering weight as well. The pattern calls for 2 skeins of Yarnitoli DK (231 each). Unblocked, this makes for a 70” scarf. After blocking: 80 inches. If using one skein, the scarf will measure at 35 inches (unblocked) and approximately 40 inches blocked. This shorter version lends itself to a wonderful short scarf that will tuck nicely under a favorite jacket. The gauge is 6.5 stitches per inch.
