Nollag Réaltaí is the Irish phrase for Christmas Stars. These Christmas Crochet Stars are not traditional perhaps, but their bold beautiful colours will brighten up any home! This free crochet pattern uses only small scraps of cotton yarn, to make these Christmas crochet decorations.

You can make them as individual Christmas crochet stars and add a hanging loop to use on your Holiday tree or mantle. You could also combine several to make a crochet garland! Include one in your Christmas cards, or add as a lovely touch to embellish your gifts.

Materials
Small amounts of Cotton Yarn
Fingering Weight/4 ply Yarn will use a 3mm hook
DK weight Yarn will use a 3.5mm hook
Yarn Needle to weave in threads

The pattern is written in US and UK Crochet terms

The crochet stars are approx. 4in 10cm wide, when using the suggested yarn weight and hook.
You could use a heavier weight yarn and matching hook to make larger motifs, just see what is in your stash!
