The Noor Tote Bag is inspired by the beauty of Persian carpets and named after my dear friend, Noor. The colors are reminiscent of the Persian carpets featured in my mother in laws, while the construction and shape is drawn from the classic “Lady Dior” Shape.

The main motif is worked in tapestry crochet and the rest of the bag is constructed from single crochet panels so it contains no complicated stitches. The tapestry motif can also be repurposed as a wall hanging, a pillow (as one of my testers did) or any other number of creative ideas.

The pattern is displayed in chart form, as well as a written pattern and extensive diagrams for the bag construction.

Skill Level:
The tapestry crochet is quite complicated so I would suggest this pattern for advance intermediate or experienced crocheters.

Materials:

  • Stiff stabilizer (optional)
