US crochet terms. Charts for main pattern and edge parts. Crochet pattern for beginners. A shawl with easy rows, pattern repeats and a video tutorial to make it an easy crochet pattern for beginners as well!

I used two skeins of Schoppel wolle zauberball 100, color Corner of a sofa (“sofaecke”). 100g, 400 meters virgin wool per skein. I did 16 section repeats to make it my size, but you can make it any size you like. Works perfectly with Scheepjes Whirls and other yarns too!

Hook: 3,5 mm

Recommended yarn is somewhere around a 3 - 4,5 mm hook size (D – H / 7), but you can make this shawl with basically any yarn you like. Thin or thick, cotton, wool or whatever you like. A thinner yarn means a longer, more narrow and “delicate” outcome that needs more repeats to reach a bigger size. A thicker yarn gets bigger faster and can get bulky if too thick, so if you’re really after the bulky, warm look for the winter, that’s perfect!

If you like this pattern and want to support me in making more patterns for you to enjoy, buy this pattern as a pdf-version. That way you’ll have a nice looking printable version that lasts forever and ever, and I can keep on creating patterns to keep you happily crocheting until your hook’s on fire! Like that would stop anyone of us from crocheting, really?! Not! But anyway, you get the picture :-)
