I designed this as a Christmas present for a friend who is a Disney fanatic and she absolutely loves them! They are a cute festive project that makes a great gift for the holidays.

The gauge on this pattern isn’t really important to have exactly right. Any needle US size 6-8 should work. I knit really tightly so I prefer to use size 8, but if you have a tendency toward a looser knit a smaller needle size will work as well. If you want to use a different kind of yarn I’d say a good general rule is to use needles one or two sizes smaller than what is recommended for that specific yarn.

If you use a different kind of yarn, make sure it is 100% cotton to insure that the potholders are heat resistant.

If its your first time double knitting it can seem pretty intimidating, but I promise it isn’t even close to as complicated as it looks. Starting the project may take a few tries, but don’t get discouraged! You only need to know how to knit and purl to complete this pattern, and it only takes a few rows to catch on. After that it’s an easy project with an end result that looks much more intricate and difficult to achieve than it really is.

I included instructions in the pattern, but if anything is still confusing please feel free to reach out. I’d love to help you with any problems or questions you might come across while working through the pattern.

You may use the final product in anyway you’d like. If you’d like to give credit, it is always appreciated but not necessary. Please do not sell or give away my patterns. Thank you so much for supporting my designs and happy knitting!

I’d love to see what color combinations you come up with and how your projects turn out so be sure to share them here on Ravelry!
