The poncho has its roots in the indigenous cultures of the Andes Mountains in South America, where its has been worn for centuries for warmth and protection. This design is my Nordic interpretation of the classic poncho – simple, timeless, made for layering, practical and beautiful at the same time. The poncho is knitted top down with increases on every other round.

200 g (300 g) Håndværksgarn from Hjelholt (200 m / 100 g) held together with 50 g (75 g) Silk Mohair from Knitting for Olive (225 m / 25 g).
