This comfy and relaxed jumper with short sleeves has a classic feel and can be worn for much of the year. If you’d like to make a warmer version, instructions for full length and ¾ length sleeves are included in this pattern. Knit with Brooklyn Tweed Shelter, it’s a quick knit. The yoke is mostly worked in 2- colors, but occasionally you will need to knit with three colors at once. You can knit this in the spring or summer, or even in the winter when you are dreaming of spring. The yoke has a cheery Swedish rose motif. Inspired by my grandmother, who grew roses in a climate that was too cold for roses, but by covering the roots with hay, and protecting them even during the harshest winter. She defied nature. It reminds me that beauty is so worth the effort and extra love, and care always pays off. It’s knit bottom up, and it knits up in a flash.

Gauge and Swatch
19 stitches and 24 rounds = 4 inches or 10 cm in colorwork. One needle is used for the entire sweater. The single-color portion of the sweater has a gauge of 17 stitches and 24 rounds.
Please swatch in the round to determine needle size.
Note: Swatch in colorwork in the round, and swatch in a single color in the round. You may need to use two different needle sizes, but I used one. Knit ribbing in whatever needle size you need to get gauge with a single color.
