Three Yarns:
Yarn A - Rowan British Sheep Breeds Boucle (3 x 100g)
Yarn B - Rowan British Sheep Breeds Chunky (1 x 100g)
Yarn C - Rowan British Sheep Breeds DK (1 x 50g)

1 pack of 8/0 beads
45x45cm cushion pad

Plaited Strips are knitted individually using strands of the DK and Chunky yarns held together, then plaited and stitched into place. The shape of the plaited section is highlighted with an edging of grey beads, sewn on at the end, which contrast beautifully with the soft boucle of the main body of the cushion.

The cushion is knitted in undyed yarns, then given a subtle color though the use of Logwood dye and mordanted with iron sulfate which, when applied, results in a blueish-grey colour.
