This lace beanie pattern was designed with my sister, Normie in mind. It begins with a tubular cast on (there are instructions if you prefer to use a different cast on) with videos to explain each step. There are written instructions as well as a video for the lacework row. I preferred the sample that I used mohair with a strand of Holst Garn supersoft (the gray sample in the photos)..but the sample made with Hobby Lobby’s Baby Bee turn out very nice as well (the green sample). One of the testers used Knit Picks Swish in a DK weight (the blue in the photos) and loved it. I think any yarn or combination of yarns to make a sport or #3 weight will work well. The pattern is worked in a round.
I used less than 1 skein of each yarn for my samples.
The band uses a size 4 (3.5mm)needle and the body uses a size 7(4.5mm).
There is a matching mitten pattern to be released very soon. It has patterns for fingerless and full mittens.
