North Bound is inspired both by native Diné weaving and traditional American quilt blocks like the Flying Geese pattern. The bold colors move northward like migrating birds. Both cowl and hat pattern are worked in the round from the bottom up.

This is a great beginning color work project as the graphic pattern develops easily and is a memorable repeating pattern.
