This is an Aran weight cable sweater with a slight drop shoulder. The back and front yokes are knit flat from the top down and joined in the round after the armholes. The back yoke is worked with German short rows before picking up sts for the shoulders, knitting the front yoke, and joining in the round for the body. The sleeves are then picked up and knit.
The finished garment has a chest circumference of 104 cm / 50 inch, length of 59 cm / 23.25 inch (measured down center back), and sleeve length of 45 cm / 17.75 inch (measured along top of sleeve). Intended ease is 13 cm / 5 inch. This is around a size medium/large in standard US sizing.
This pattern has not been graded for additional sizes as I made it for myself and decided to put it out for free. If there are requests for additional sizing, I will consider doing the grading work. Email me at abi.gray.designs@gmail.com with any questions!

Materials
Yarn used is Drops Alaska. Around 18 skeins / 1260 m / 1377 yds were used, where one 50 gr skein is 70 m / 77 yds.
Other materials used are US 8 / 5 mm and US 6 / 4 mm interchangeable needles. Stitch markers can also be used to keep track of cable motifs.

Gauge
Gauge is 17 sts x 22 rows = 10 x 10 cm / 4” x 4” in blocked stockinette. (I unfortunately do not remember the cable swatch gauge).
