For gothic romance!

The gloves feature a lace frill, a beaded sleeve, and twisted stitch ribbing. They are knitted bottom up starting at the finger cuff with an Italian cast-on. The lace frill is knitted flat, formed into a tube with a kitchener graft, then decreased at the top to narrow the tube before knitting it into the glove at the point where the hand meets the sleeve.

For two-colour gloves as shown you will require 100g (420 matres/460 yards) of the main colour in a fingering weight yarn, and 35g (165 yards/150 metres) of the contrast colour in a fingering weight yarn. You will also need 144 size 6/0 seed beads.

The pattern includes links to online tutorials for all the advanced techniques involved (Italian cast-on, beaded knitting, centered double increase, etc…)

Many thanks to test knitters Selana, kikkitull, SpiritHorse, and nephele for their excellent work in assisting me to prepare this pattern for publication.
