This is a cute cropped summer weight jumper. Essentially any cotton/wool or cotton/acrylic mix would work, provided it met gauge requirements.

It is knitted sideways and in one piece, so at the end you need to only use mattress stitch to join seams.

Skills required, besides, Knit and Purl are:
slipping stitches knitways,
increasing and decreasing stitches (for shaping of garment)
mattress stitch for sewing together and
stocking stitch (knit one row, purl one row).

Therefore this would be a great first jumper for a keen beginner or TV knitting for the more experienced knitter!
