This shawl will appear to change colours, to grow and shrink, depending on the angle the pattern is viewed from at any moment of time. As you walk around the person wearing the shawl it subtly shifts revealing and hiding the secondary colour while the dominant colour remains ever present. The colour choices you make have a massive influence on the final appearance of your shawl and I have tried to capture an example of this.

There is a video on my instagram page of the colour changes https://www.instagram.com/p/B1CEq0thHo_/

This has been made by the designer in merino wool 4ply/fingering weight with 3mm hook and in (mostly) acrylic DK yarn with a 3.5mm
hook.

First version I used 3mm hook:
Colour A (background) 600m/670yards hand dyed merino yarn, 2 balls of 100g balls 4 ply yarn
Colours B and C (pattern) 300m/335yards hand dyed merino yarn, 1 balls of 100g balls 4 ply yarn each

This style looks amazing using hand dyed merino wool if you want a more luxurious shawl

Second version I used 3.5mm hook:
Colour A (background) 735m, 1 balls of 150g balls DK fashion yarn (knitcraft shawl we dance)
Colours B and C (pattern) 735m, 1 balls of 150g balls DK fashion yarn (knitcraft shawl we dance) each colour (no more than half a ball used)

These stitches are tricky to get the hang of so take it slow and count count count!

This pattern will also be run as a CAL from March 2020 available on my Facebook group https://www.facebook.com/groups/1815138551873821/ over a course of 8 weeks.
