This cowl was designed one night as I was thinking about last winter’s -30 F temperatures. The welted design is intended to trap more warmth around you, as well as provide extra stretch when covering your head. The cowl also flares towards the bottom, so it can be pulled around your shoulders. Easy and quick to make on size #11 needles, it would also be a good stash buster for bulky yarns.
