Norwenn Sweater
Did you think cables are for knitting only? Well think again!
Norwenn is a sweater born out of the desire to translate the beautiful intricate cables found in so many knitted sweaters, to the neatness of Tunisian crochet. It is an intermediate level pattern not because of the construction - which is very simple - but because the nature of cables makes it so that you’ll have to get used to “dig” a bit for stitches until you get used to that. Once you get the feel of it though, you’ll never want to stop! :)
The pattern is written and it also includes photos of the process for cabling, alongside detailed explanations.
What you’ll need:
10 x 100g skeins of worsted weight (9 WPI) yarn
Cabled 6mm / J/10 tunisian crochet hook with an at least 80cm / 31.4 “ long cable
Cable needle (spiral one works best but any will do); or secondary hook
Blunt needle for weaving in loose ends and sewing
Dimensions:
One size / adult, oversized and baggy, with the following measurements:
Chest circumference: 125 cm / 49”
Underarm length: 42 cm / 16.5”
Back length (shoulder to hem line): 68 cm / 26.5”
