’Multi-sized sock with adjustable legs’ is the most concise description I can think of, but these socks are so much more.

’NSV’ Socks offer the knitter a wide range of choices, from the yarn, to the foot size, to the leg adjustments, there is no reason to ever have to wear socks that cut or bind again. Even those of you who would never have been able to make hand knit knee socks will be happy to find that this pattern lends itself well, no matter what your size needs are.

The top of the foot and leg feature a pretty lacey eyelet pattern that can be knit Stacked, as shown in the main pattern, or Vining, charts for which are available as an extra download when you get to the pattern download page. The ribbed nature of the socks means there is plenty of stretch while still offering enough hug to help keep them up.

This pattern will work for all colorways, from the most highly variegated to the most defined stripes to a good old solid color, both color and pattern will show up well and be shown off well.

Last, but not least for most folks, is that there are files for Top Down and Toe Up. You can choose the direction you want to work, download that file and off you go. Later, if you want to try the other direction, download that file and you are off. Once you buy one, you will have access to all versions.

Sizing:

Foot Size:
72 St Average Foot
80 St Wide Foot
XSmall Foot is also available in a separate file due to chart differences

Leg Size: You can make your socks in one of 4 sizes
Small (approx 12” - 16” calf)
Medium (approx 14” - 18” calf)
Large (approx 16” - 20” calf)
XLarge (approx 18” - 22” calf)

NOTE: Knee socks will require more than 1 skein of yarn. Larger sizes may require a bit more than one skein. This might be a good place to try out that longer yardage skein or some interesting option for contrasting heels and toes you may be thinking about.

XSmall Foot is also available in a separate file.
