The Not So Wee Shawl is a rectangular piece knit on a bias. Dramatically long, this piece is reminiscent of the dance of wind through the grass or the flow of water down a creek. It is gloriously customizable! Designed with 24 minis in mind, you can change the length however you want by using less or more. Whether you have an advent to use up, scraps of fingering weight yarn lying around, or a few full skeins you’ve been saving, the options are endless!

Pattern Information

Finished Measurements
Width: 20”
Length: 108”

Yarn
24 Fingering Weight mini skeins

~ Note on yarn used: I used 24 mini skeins from my stash ranging from 92 yards to 80 yards. I did not match yarn bases. They were all a superwash merino nylon blend.

~ Alternatives: To make the full length of this shawl, you can also use 10 50g skeins or 5 100g skeins of fingering weight yarn.

Suggested Needles
US6 /4mm - 24” (70cm) or longer circular needle

Gauge
4” by 4” swatch = 23 rows by 18 stitches
Gauge is not essential for this shawl. Just note the shawl is knit on a bias in fisherman’s rib, so the stitch will grow.
