Cozy and warm pullover, with a bold colorwork pattern. Using aran weight yarn, this seamless sweater works up quickly.
Notes from Nature is inspired by the colors and sounds of temperate forests around the world.
The pullover is knit top-down in the round with a round-yoke construction. The back neck is shaped with short rows for a better fit. The stranded colorwork is worked from charts and additional plain rnds can be added for better fit. After separating the sleeve sts, the body is knit in the round to the hem. The sleeves are worked last. Stranded colorwork is worked before the hem of the body and sleeves.
Techniques used: knit in the round (including small circumferences), complex stranded colorwork (charted only), wrap and turn short rows, and place stitches on hold.
SIZE
1 (2, 3, 4, 5) (6, 7, 8, 9)
Finished bust circumference
30 (35, 40, 45, 50) (55, 60, 65, 70)“
76 (89, 102, 114, 127) (140, 152, 165, 178) cm
Recommended ease: choose a size with 2–8” (5–20 cm) of positive ease at the chest. If you are somewhat broad-shouldered, I would recommend selecting a size that gives you more positive ease rather than less, as the shoulders of this design are slightly more close-fitting than some of my other designs.
