This pattern was inspired by the characters of Simon and Baz from the book “Fangirl” by Rainbow Rowell. The pattern makes two opposing socks using mosaic knitting, so you are only knitting with one color per row. The heel of the sock is an After-thought heel. A piece of scrap yarn is placed while knitting the body of the sock. Once the toe is completed, the scrap yarn is then removed, leaving live stitches that will be picked up for the heel.

The Stitch Pattern pulls the sock in a bit, but does stretch. That is why Size 2 needles are recommended instead of size 1.
