Worked in a versatile DK weight yarn, Nuan is a cozy cardigan, perfect for layering in any season. Full of impeccable details, Nuan has a longer length, versatile A-line shape, comfortable positive ease, and a draped neckline that will flatter many different figures.

The cardigan is knitted from the top down in one piece for minimal finishing, with just a few easy short rows that create a slight curve along the bottom edge. The front edging is worked together with the rest of the body, eliminating the need for picking up stitches. The combination of simple stockinette and basic ribbing stitches makes Nuan the perfect canvas for self-striping, hand-dyed, textured, and handspun yarns.
And, with a bit of swatching, this pattern can be easily adapted to different yarn weights as well - if you’d like help with this, please contact me by posting here (link to Ravelry group).

Thanks to the top down construction, the length of the body and the sleeves can be easily customized to just about any length. Nuan is designed to be worn with draped open fronts; however, it can be belted or closed with a shawl pin.
