Newborn goaties have a soft stool and with the first animal sweater pattern I was using, with the longer back, the back would often get poopy. This length is enough to keep warm, but also keep fairly clean.

Legs offer good movement and are not tight and restrictive.

Would also work omitting the leg length all together. This works especially well for bigger babies. To make a bigger vest, I have found it is pretty easy just to up your needle size. I have made one on size 13 needles before. Granted, it will need more yarn, but it works.

Bulky weight yarn for a quick knit or two strands held together of smaller weight scrap yarn to use up your lonely balls. This is a great stash burner project.

Good sweater for other animals too, like small/medium sized dogs. (pictured)

Patterns purchased before 10/28/19 were for the flat version only & included a rough BETA version of an “in the round version”. Patterns purchased after that include both a flat & finalized in the round version. All purchases were given access to the updated version.

Would love to see your work on IG!
