I made a few patterns for this tile and I’m giving gifts again.
This pattern contains written instructions and a chart for one of the three crocheted square mosaic motifs (see main photo).
This pattern also contains two more charts without written text, only charts!

This tile is made asymmetrically. It’s really simple! Just rotate the chart 90 degrees clockwise or carefully read instructions.

Pattern is available in English only.

The charts are created using two different colors. I used unmercerized but strong cotton thread 246 yards per 75 gr. Crochet hook No2.
Finished size of main tile 18 cm (approx. 7”) square, weight — 37 g.

Any yarn and appropriately sized hook can be used to make this pattern but you will get a different size square. Acrylic yarns, cotton or a mixed fiber all will work well.

“Numa Tile” is made in 26 rounds, starting with a magic circle. Tile is crocheted in the round from the center and outward, using mosaic overlay crochet technique. The technique is not difficult, just pay close attention to the stitch placement in the chart. You will need to already be comfortable with the BLOsc / FLOdc technique of mosaic crochet worked from a chart and also foundation single crochet.

Stitches used are (all in US terms): slip stitch, chain stitch, single crochet in back loop only, double crochet in front loop only.
