Nurture yourself with this delicate bralette. Designed with fit and comfort in mind. Comes in 9 finished bust sizes and personalized bust shaping. So comfortable you’ll forget you’re wearing it! Can be worn on its own, or as a beautiful layering piece. It makes for a great training bra too.

Meant to be worn with 8” / 20 cm of negative ease at the bust to fit a bust of 31.5” - 61.5” / 79 cm - 154 cm. Prioritize the bust measurement when choosing a size, the underbust can be modified. See the schematic and size charts in the photos for more details.

To combat the additional costs fat knitters face, I’ve added a coupon code for knitters who are often excluded from pattern sizing. For knitters who typically knit size 6-9, all my garment patterns are 20% off with the coupon code ANTIFATTAX.

Worked top down seamlessly, without grafting, and minimal finishing. Just weave in the ends and block!

Intermediate difficulty

Some of the techniques include:
Long tail provisional CO
Italian BO
German Short Rows

Slipping sts
PU sts from I-Cord
Knit on CO

Recommended yarn:
Shibui Knits Lunar (held double)
The Wicked Knittah 50 merino 50 silk
Or any Fingering weight yarn that you feel comfortable wearing next to skin. For a non-wool alternative I recommend Hikoo Cobasi, as it’s nice and stretchy.

Estimated Yardage:
1, 1, 2, (2, 2, 2) {3, 3, 3} skeins Shibui Knits Lunar OR 1 1, 1, (1, 1, 1) {2, 2, 2} 100g skeins (400 yards) of fingering weight yarn. This is a rough estimate, depending on the cup size and modifications you choose to make you may need more or less yarn.

The lace is both charted and written out row by row, it can also be skipped completely.

The pattern includes modification options to help you make a piece that will fit right into your wardrobe.

  1. Altering strap length to raise or lower the neckline.
  2. Altering the waist shaping to better fit you.
  3. Lengthening the body
  4. Adding a bow to the straps
  5. Widening the center of the GSRs to better fit a rounder breast.
  6. Moving the apex of the GSRs closer to the center front.
  7. Widening the straps

There are multiple PDFs.

  1. The main pattern
  2. The GSR modifications
  3. The strap modifications to make them wider

This pattern has been professionally tech edited, and all sizes except size 9 have been, or are being test knit.

Pattern has been translated into French by Axelle Gramatikoff.

Updated 12/25/22 to current writing style. It should now be easier to read and follow. Also added progress charts for the neckline and armhole shaping.
