Nutcracker

It is a crochet pattern in PDF (478KB) containing 3 pages teaching how to make an Amigurumi Nutcracker.
The pattern has pictures showing the process and it is written in US Terminology.

Size: around 25 cm/ 10” - not counting the hat.

Skill level: Intermediate (it requires some experience in making Amigurumi as it has color changes)

“This Nutcracker was designed with a lot of love for this Christmas!
I made it inspired by The Nutcracker Ballet.
The shape of this amigurumi is unique, elongated so the kids will have a different feeling in holding it and a lot of fun playing with it!

Materials:

• Crochet needle 2.5 mm (the hook size can vary depending of the yarn you choose to use);
• Cotton Blend Plain yarn – DK by Knitcraft : colors Beige, Red, Black and a thinner yarn in Gold color;
• Stitch marker (to mark the first stitch of the round);
• Scissors;
• 2 green plastic safety eyes of 10.5mm;
• Fiberfill;
• Tapestry needle;
• White felt;
• Pins to hold the pieces in place before sewing;
• A piece of acetate or hard plastic to add at the bottom of the hat before stuffing (not obligatory).

Example of how it is written:
Rnd 1: 6 sc in a Mr 6 / or ch 2, sc x 6 in 2nd ch from hook
Rnd 2: inc x 6 12
Rnd 3: (sc, inc) x 6 18
Rnd 4: (sc x 2, inc) x 6 24
Rnd 5: (sc x 3, inc) x 6 30
