Nutmeg socks are knitted cuff down, they feature a simple but engaging texture stitch pattern on the leg and foot and a simple slip stitch heel flap and gusset.

SIZES AND FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: 1 (2) 3 equivalent 54 (66) 78 sts, finished sock circumference 16 (19.5) 23 cm / 6.5 (7.85) 9.25 inches (unstretched after blocking)
YARN: 1 skein of any fingering weight sock yarn will work for these socks. The pattern will be best visible either in solid color yarn or in yarn with long and gentle color gradients. For the sample in size 2 I used 67 grams of West Yorkshire Spinners Signature 4 ply, 100 g - 400 m/ 437 yards, 75% wool, 25% nylon, color 630.

GAUGE: 34 sts/ 46 rnds in 10 cm / 4 inches in stitch pattern in the round after washing and blocking.

NEEDLES: 2mm / US 0 circular needles for magic loop or other to achieve gauge. You can adapt this pattern for DPNs or 9 inch circular needles as well.
