Nutmeg Sweater
Release Party - This pattern is 40 % of until December 18th.
Nutmeg is a soft, chunky sweater with drop shoulders and a large, prominent turtleneck. The sweater is fluffy and chunky yet still light. It is worked top-down in two strands of Handdyed Fat Mohair. The entire sweater is filled with random colorful stripes.
The sweater is worked top-down, starting with the back and then the front piece. The back begins with short rows to shape the shoulders, then is knitted straight down to the bottom of the armhole. Next, the front is knitted, also with short rows at the shoulders, and increases at the neckline. When the bottom of the armhole is reached, the back and front are joined and knit in the round. The body is finished with a rib edge. Along the armhole opening, stitches are picked up for sleeves. The sleeves are knitted in the round and finished with an i-cord edge. Finally, stitches are picked up for the neckline, and a large, prominent turtleneck is worked.
We have also put together KITS for the Nutmeg Sweater, which you can find here.
