Cabled Christmas Tree Sweater

This raglan pullover features a cabled Christmas tree design on the front, with optional bead ornaments. Knit top down, in the round, this is a quick, seamless knit. This would make an adorable gift for a wee one at Christmas, or would be perfect for family Christmas pictures.

Update, December 2015: I have had many requests to add more sizes to this pattern. It has been updated to include sizes up to 36” - Women’s Small. As always, there is a detailed schematic included, so you can choose the size that fits best.

Shown in size 18 months (with beads) and size 4 (without beads)

Children vary in size. Measure a sweater that fits them well, and choose the correct size based on chest circumference, regardless of age. The larger sizes are meant for women, as well. Choose your size based on chest (bust) circumference.

Because there are so many sizes, I suggest you go through the pattern and highlight your size before you begin.

Adding the beads (for Christmas Tree ornaments) is optional. If you don’t want beads, knit those stitches. Likewise, you can place more beads than marked on the chart, or use different shapes. Have fun!

This pattern includes both charts and written instructions. Only print the pages you need.

Knittripps has an excellent photo tutorial of my beading technique on her project page - here.
