Fingerless mittens, with a small hole on the side for thumbs.
The acorn and oak leaf pattern takes some concentration, but as the rest of the mitten is very easy (no fancy thumb hole workings etc) this is very do-able as long as you note which row you are up to if you stop and come back to it. Even if you forget you can just count the rows on the stockinette part to see what row you are up to.
The end result is worth it.
The design is mirrored for left and right.
The orange mitts use Naturally Tweed Brights - with a subtle fleck throughout.
The main pic is knitted in New Zealand Naturally Amuri which is a lovely soft blend of merino and possum – a New Zealand animal that is a pest on the environment but has beautiful soft fur very much like angora.
KNITTED AS ONE PIECE ON STRAIGHT NEEDLES AND SEAMED AT THE SIDE LEAVING A THUMB HOLE.
