The Oak Moss tee is a simple, one-piece garment that’s ideal for plant fibres and summer knitting, that also makes a great layering piece.
Worked mostly in stockinette, with moss stitch detailing at the hem, armholes and shoulders, it will show off textured or variegated yarn beautifully, or be a classic, relaxed warm-weather top.
It’s knit in the round from the bottom up. Increases are worked for the short sleeves, then the back is worked flat with short-row shaping at the shoulders. The front is then worked flat, separating for the left and right front with short-row shaping as for the back. The shoulders and underarms are then seamed, and the neckline finished very simply with a bound-off edge.
