Using basic texture is one of my favorite methods of mixing up simple crochet socks a bit. The real star of the fun and surprisingly simple textural stitch that adds a lot of stretch. Try it out with variegated yarn! Choose a size about 1/2” smaller than what you’d usually crochet to account for the extra stretch in this stitch.

These toe-up socks are worked with a standard wedge toe and a modified heel flap.
