The row and stitch gauge combination of twisted rib produces elegant, natural oblique angles across the arm and hand, accented with picot castons and bindoffs. Mitered yarnover increases form a lacey line along the outer arm, and twisted double decreases both create a visual detail at the inner wrist and shape the thumb.

Worked beginning with a few stitches at the outer wrist and ending around the index finger, they require no sewing or other finishing.

Skill level: Intermediate. The unusual construction method may be challenging for some knitters; please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or need additional explanation. I am committed to providing quality pattern support.

This pattern is worked partially in rows and partially in the round (using whatever method you prefer for small-diameter knitting in the round). Both knitting and purling through the back loop are required.
