Obsession is a vibrant 2-color half circle shawl, inspired by color and music: the brilliant colorways created by Manic Punk Fibers which were in turn inspired by the song and music video Obsession by the Korean pop group EXO. The video is colorful, intense, and vivid, with plays on bright light, clothing and lasers contrasting with darkness and shadows. It’s this high contrast and sharp lighting that I’ve tried to capture in the playful geometry of the color work and traveling stitches (plus a little hidden E, X, and O :) ).

Yarn: you will need 3 skeins or 1200 total yards (2 skeins/800 yards of the Main Color (seen in red), 1 skein/400 yards of the Contrast Color (seen in orange)). You can use any fingering weight yarn that achieves gauge. This pattern works best with a higher contrast color pairing.
