This shawl is worked top down in Contrasting Colours.
You can use just 2 colours (as with the gold example) or a fade of one shade (as with the blue example.)

The shawl pattern calls for;

S2kp - Double Decrease
Psso - Pass Slipped Stitch Over
Slipped stitches
Purl or knit 2 together
Yarn forward
Knit through front and back loop.
