An intricately patterned shawl inspired by traditional weavings from Oceania.

The sample was knit by Barbara of dibadu with 4 skeins of silky and luminous dibadu Funnies - Simply Merino, 1 skein each of Pazifik (Pacific), Türkis (Turquoise), Gebrannte Erde (Burnt Earth) and Kürbiscreme (Pumpkin Cream), 365m/400yds/100g per skein (approximately 330m/360yds/90g of each color is used).

Techniques include lace knitting, stranding, intarsia, trapping, dealing with yarn ends - splicing, weaving in, or knitting in.

Gauge: 26.5 sts and 24 rows = 10cm/4in in stranded knitting on 4mm/US6 needle
