The Octa-Granny Square by Crochet Road was designed as a free pattern for Granny Square Day, August 15, 2019.

Project Level: Designed with the adventurous beginner in mind, instructions are clearly given for all stitches. The most challenging part of the pattern is probably the back post/ front post stitches.

The square has been successfully tested with various yarns and hook sizes.

I used Scheepjes Catona, one of my favourites & a very versatile yarn, having great stitch definition and ability for detail. This mercerised cotton is currently available in 109 colours, and is great value, being quite easily available worldwide.

Colours used in given example are:
Scheepjes Catona
255 - nude
130 - old lace
408 - old rose
