The October Hat pattern is an easy, fast project that you can whip up as you’re sitting at the football game, cross country meet, or marching band competition. This crochet pattern suits both men and women, and it adds a stylish warmth to your fall and winter outfits.

This crochet hat pattern is worked from the top down in the round. The striping pattern makes this crochet hat pop, but it would also look lovely in a single color, thanks to the textured stitches. Although this hat mostly uses simple stitches, the use of stitch alternation and back loop work create a lovely texture. This hat also uses the herringbone half double crochet, a new stitch you’re sure to fall in love with. If you’re not comfortable with it, no problem! I’ve included a photo tutorial!

The October Hat is part of the 2016 Sunshine Charlotte Hat CAL, which you can find here: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/sunshine-charlott...
