Octopus Swirls is a modular blanket that can be made in 2 versions (Octopus and flat). This pattern will require at least 3 colors of yarn and can be worked in any weight at any gauge. There is significant variability in number of pieces and yardage depending on the yarn used. The pattern provides estimates of the the number of pieces and yardage for a standard size throw and a 36in square baby blanket for Super bulky to fingering weight yarn. There are also instructions for how to calculate numbers for a different sized blanket.
