This pattern is one of my older ones and contains only one size. It is currently priced to reflect the limited size range. I’m working on updating it (the current file is from 2014), so please bear that in mind as you decide whether to make this project or not. This pattern has been tested, but not tech edited, which will be remedied before re-release.

Ode to Summer is my way of keeping Summer with me year round! As the seasons begin to change, these mitts will keep your hands and heart warm!

This pattern includes detailed written instructions for the whole mitt (including the flower pattern), a chart for the flower motif, and picture instructions for my own technique of joining the thumb.

You can work these mitts with one skein of Vanna’s Choice, which makes them an excellent quick gift or travel project; they take me only a few days to make a pair!

These are written for one size only, but can easily be made larger or smaller by changing your needle size!

  • Regarding length and sizing: at the correct gauge, these mitts will fit a medium sized women’s hand up to about the second knuckle (almost covering the pinkie finger- see pictures) If you don’t want them as long as the photos, just take out a couple of the rounds right after the cuff! The flower will sit a little lower on your hand, and the top ribbing won’t go as far up your fingers!

Regarding copyright and usage:

Finished items may be sold from my patterns, of course, as they are your work. Crediting me as the designer when you sell would be appreciated, but is not required.

Standard copyright restrictions apply to the pattern itself. You may not sell, distribute, copy and paste the pattern itself to other websites, or otherwise reproduce my patterns or any of their charts or images without written permission.

Please also note that digital pattern purchases are non-refundable, since there’s no way to un-download a pattern. Thank you for understanding!
