Life never follows the predetermined path. Embrace the twists, turns and forks in the road.

Zig-zagging brioche stripes roam the surface of simple garter stitch. A rolled stockinette hem provides a clean and reversible edging, which compliments in the two-sided beauty of brioche stitch. By pairing very simple brioche technique with basic garter stitch, this pattern appeals to all skill levels. Only one color worked per round and all the shaping is worked in the garter stitch sections. You’ll love the versatility of this design. It drapes nicely around the neck when worn loose and can bundle nicely inside a closed coat color to provide protection in poor weather.

Starting with a rolled stockinette edging. The body of the cowl is worked primarily in garter stitch with two sets of brioche stitch paths.

To adjust size, cast on more or fewer stitches.
