While they may be a bit controversial, I love open-front sweaters. I rarely button my cardigans anyway, and appreciate the flattering vertical visual they create. Offshore is no exception; it drapes beautifully down the front in an A-line, and the wide front panels create the option of closure if you’d rather pin it. Simple eyelet details keep the project interesting while enabling you to move along at a swift pace.

Offshore is worked top-down (flat) with a neckline that is shaped through a series of increases at the start of each row in the beginning. When the shaping is complete, the eyelet series begins. The eyelet panels will seem wide at first, but are meant to create attractive vertical waves down the front of the body; sleeves and ribbing are worked last. Predominantly knit in stockinette stitch with easy details, this rhythmic knit will be off your needles in no time.
