Oh Duck! Socks - kids edition
Some socks are simple… and then there are Oh Duck! Socks - kids edition. Inspired by calm lakes, waddling ducks, and the joy of small playful details, these socks feature a charming duck motif worked using intarsia.
A small duck appears on the heel and continues up the back of the sock, creating a fun little surprise that peeks out as a child walks, adding personality to an otherwise classic sock shape.
The socks are knitted from the cuff down and use a comfortable boomerang heel construction. The heel placement makes the duck motif the star of the design, while keeping the rest of the sock clean, cozy, and easy to wear.
The pattern includes six sizes: 1 (2) 3 (4) 5 (6) and allows you to easily adjust both the foot length and the cuff height to fit your preferences. Clear charts for all sizes are included at the end of the pattern.
NOTE: Duck is knitted using intarsia, but if you haven’t tried it before, don’t worry! A step-by-step guide is included (I’ve recorded two detailed YouTube videos). So it could be a perfect project to learn intarsia!
